My greatest accomplishment thus far in my career was winning The Amateur Championships at Bowling Green three years in a row, starting in the recreational division and moving up a division each time. Right after my final win in advanced I decided to go pro. So far in my career as a professional, I've won two B-tiers (The Labyrinth at Punderson State Park, and The Ironwood Open). I'm looking to win an A-tier this year.
Gordon Holton. Delaware, Ohio. I love this course because its close to home and I can play it all the time. I love the variety of shots, the greens can be tough but the entire course is picturesque. In addition, there are a variety of layouts you can play, depending on how much time you have.
Twilight Zone (Private Course). Canal Winchester, Ohio. This is a friend's private course that I attend almost every Friday. It challenges even the best of players. The lines are tight and technical and I find myself throwing almost every disc in my bag. The course itself is peppered with artwork and fun things to look at. Every time I go out there I see something new and fun!
2019 IN THE BAG
IN THE BAG
*Note* In The Bag section is a work in progress. While these are the discs
the player throws, it may not accurately reflect the plastic type the player uses
Your go-to Driver?
My go-to driver is my Z Surge. It has been my most reliable disc. I use it for sidearm and backhand shots. I've even found it to be a nice roller disc. It has just enough stability for me that I can throw it as hard I want and can trust that it will finish its flight exactly how I expect. It has the perfect fade, reliable and consistent. I recommend it for any simple hyzer shot, backhand or sidearm.
How about your main Mid-range?
My go-to mid range is my ESP Drone. Most of my up-shots I choose to throw forehand so that I can always look at my target. The Drone's stability offers me a reliable fade when I throw a touch forehand. Even in windy conditions, the drone flies true. It has a very reliable and consistent flight path which makes it easy to work with.
What about Your Putter?
My go-to putter is my Pro-d Soft Magnet AKA Old Reliable. I have tested out other putters and different molds but always go back to my Soft Magnets. They are gummy and fit well in my hand. Their flexibility prevents most roll-aways and they fly so straight. I am also deadly with a forehand flick with these. I've hit putts with them from over 70 ft out with a flick of the wrist. I think they're great discs for beginners as well as those playing for a while. They are consistent and grab chains like no other putter.
