The front 9 was a seesaw battle, with momentum shifting between Missy and Holyn. But as history has shown, it’s the back 9 at Toboggan where championships are won—or lost. With this year’s tightened OBs and alternative pin placements, the course demanded even more mental and physical stamina than ever before.

Down the stretch, Missy found herself holding the lead while Holyn Handley and Silva Saarinen stayed within striking distance. On Hole 18, the tournament came down to one of the most tension-filled moments of the weekend.

With Holyn in position to force a playoff and Silva still waiting to finish, Missy needed only a bogey to seal the win. She executed it perfectly, closing the door and winning by just one stroke. This victory further cements her reputation as “Big Moment Missy”—a player who thrives under pressure and consistently proves why she’s among the world’s best.

On the MPO side, Ricky Wysocki gave fans one of the most thrilling performances of the season. His tournament began quietly, posting a respectable (-7) in round one that wasn’t enough to crack the top 5. But round two showed signs of momentum with a (-9) on the A-pin layout.

Then came round three—the spark that lit up the Toboggan course. Ricky shot a jaw-dropping (-12), carding nothing but 3s across his scorecard. From birdies to pars to a highlight eagle, it was a round of pure control and confidence that reminded everyone why he’s one of the sport’s all-time greats.

Heading into the final round just three strokes back, Ricky kept the fire going with another strong (-9). Despite the push, he finished one stroke shy of Gannon Buhr, proof that every single stroke matters in elite competition. That one missed putt, one misjudged drive, or one lost opportunity earlier in the week can be the difference between hoisting the trophy and finishing second.

Ricky’s effort, however, wasn’t in vain. His play showed the crowd that his best years are not behind him but still within reach—and that his name will remain central in championship conversations.
