What’s Included in the 4th of July Sale
This year’s 4th of July Sale is packed with limited releases, discounted throwers, and plenty of ways to stock up through the Discraft Factory Store. Shoppers can find up to 50% off misprint packs, 25% off single misprint discs, limited 4th of July stamp discs, and select apparel items marked up to 50% off. Holiday-Themed Discraft Factory Store Releases
This year’s 4th of July lineup brings three festive Factory Store releases. Whippy’s Fireworks features the Discraft barstamp with Whippy lighting off fireworks, giving the design a playful look made for the holiday weekend. Whippy’s Rocket keeps things simple and festive, showing Whippy lighting a firework off with just the right amount of flair. Rounding out the collection, Grillin’ Glizzy features the fan-favorite Glizzy Glider in his iconic superhero costume, firing up the grill for a weird, fun, and unmistakably summer-ready stamp!
Introducing Second Shot
Alongside the holiday releases, one of the biggest parts of this sale is the debut of Second Shot. These discs feature cosmetic or molding-related imperfections that go beyond a standard misprint, but are still safe, usable, and throwable. While Second Shot fits within PDGA specifications, some disc may be outside PDGA standards. These may feature surface blemishes, color variation, molding inconsistencies, stamp flaws, or other production differences.
They are not misprints. Misprints are typically centered around stamp-related issues. Second Shot discs may have more noticeable imperfections in the plastic, molding, finish, or overall appearance, while still being fully capable of getting out on the course and playing. Because of these added imperfections, Second Shot discs will be available at a better price than traditional misprints, giving players another way to grab throwable discs for less.
That is what makes Second Shot different. These discs did not meet our quality expectations, but they still have plenty of life left in them. Instead of being set aside or grounded into pieces, they get a second chance to be thrown, tested, bagged, and enjoyed!
