This past weekend at Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Discraft had something very special happen: a sweep of the 2025 Discraft’s Green Mountain Championship (GMC), with Paul McBeth taking the MPO title and Paige Pierce rising as FPO champion -- marking the 22nd time this occurrence has happened! It was a weekend of comebacks, clutch shots, and memories we’ll carry with us for years to come.
Paige Pierce’s Comeback & Clutch Finish
Paige gave us one of the most exciting finishes of the year. Starting the final round six strokes back, she had a shaky front 9 (even par), but she didn’t panic—she leaned in. Her back 9 was clean, bogey-free with a –4, and she slammed the door shut with birdies on 17 & 18 to force a playoff.
In the playoff, while others were feeling the pressure, Paige kept it steady. She found the landing zone, trusted her shots, and used a turnover Fierce to park the first playoff hole and close it out. This is her first DGPT win of the 2025 season, continuing a winning streak of 15 years of a DGPT Elite Series victory or Major!
Paul McBeth’s Commanding Performance

Paul McBeth came into GMC ready to make a statement—and that’s exactly what he did. After a slower start, trailing after Round 1, he ignited in Round 2 at Brewster Ridge with a scorching (–10). Moving into Fox Run on moving day, he didn’t let off the gas, firing the hot round of the day at (–12).
Those rounds gave him the momentum to fend off the field and seal the win by 2 strokes. This marks his second DGPT Elite Series win of the season—and catapults him up in the DGPT World Standings, jumping four spots into 2nd place overall.
A Display of Grit and Heart

Missy came in with a six-stroke lead going into the final round—big shoes to fill, and she did well in many respects. She didn’t have a terrible day by any means, but when the pressure mounted, Paige Pierce seized the moments Missy couldn’t quite convert. After slipping from the lead, Missy battled back into the three-person playoff.
Unfortunately, an OB throw on her first shot in the playoff derailed her chance—but what shines through is her consistency, her refusal to quit, and her drive. Even when things look tough, Missy pushes—as competitive, focused, and resilient as any pro out there.
Why Green Mountain Championship Means So Much to Discraft

For us at Discraft, GMC is far more than another event. Partnering with Smugglers’ Notch to bring the Green Mountain Championship to life every year is something we deeply value. The courses—Brewster Ridge and Fox Run—are iconic, challenging, picturesque. The setting in Vermont, the fall colors, the fans, the community around it… they all combine to make GMC one of the most special stops on the DGPT calendar.
This year will always hold a special place in our memory:
• Because of the sweep: To see both Paige and Paul rise to the top in their divisions.
• Because of the drama: final-round comebacks, clutch shots, and playoff intensity.
• Because it reminds us of why Discraft supports this event in the first place—not just to showcase our athletes, but to foster the sport, support venues like Smugglers’ Notch, and bring fans and players together in extraordinary places.
