Second Shot by Discraft is the best way to get more discs in your hands! Not every disc comes out perfect, but that doesn’t always mean it should be left behind. This collection is a new way to bring unique, playable discs to players. These discs have visible imperfections, cosmetic variation, or production differences.
Whether you’re looking for throwers, backups, practice discs, or something with a little extra character, Second Shot gives great discs an opportunity to fly! (Available July 3rd on the Discraft Factory Store at 9 AM EST.)
Second Shot are discs with noticeable cosmetic or production imperfections. These differences may affect how the disc looks, but they do not take away from its purpose: getting out on the course and playing!
Some discs may have stamp flaws. Others may show cosmetic marks, color variation, surface inconsistencies, or other visual differences from the production process. Every Second Shot disc is different, which is part of what makes the category unique.
What Makes Second Shot Different From a Misprint?
A Misprint is typically a disc with a stamp-related issue. This could include double stamps, off-center, incorrect foils, partial stamps, or other hot stamp flaws. In most cases, the disc itself still meets normal production standards, but the stamp did not come out as intended. A Second Shot disc has a more noticeable cosmetic or production-related imperfection beyond a standard misprint. These differences may include surface marks, color variation, molding inconsistencies, finish imperfections, or other visual differences from the production process.
Both Misprints and Second Shot discs are still safe, usable, and good to throw. The main difference is that Misprints are usually stamp-focused, while Second Shot discs may have imperfections in the disc’s plastic, finish, or overall appearance. Every Second Shot disc is different, which is part of what makes the category unique.
Why Give These Discs a Second Chance?
During production, some discs come through with differences that don't meet our expectations. Second Shot helps create a better home for discs that are still usable, still interesting, and still worth putting in someone’s bag.
It also gives players another way to find unique throwers at a fraction of the cost!
Ready to Give One a Second Shot?
Second Shot discs are available in limited quantities and will change based on what comes through production. Once they’re gone, the next batch may bring a completely different mix of molds, colors, stamps, and appearances.
Dropping July 3rd at 9 AM EST on the Discraft Factory Store, Second Shot is your chance to find a unique thrower, build your bag, and give a great disc an opportunity to fly!
