From the beginning, the Terminator was about creating a distance driver that could meet the demands of Team Discraft’s most powerful throwers. It needed the stability to handle torque, wind, and aggressive release angles without sacrificing the glide required to continue pushing down the fairway.

After months of development, testing, and refinement, the First Run Z Terminator will be available beginning August 28th at Discraft.com and through local Discraft retailers.

Months in the Making

When the Terminator was first revealed, players immediately wanted to know when they would be able to get their hands on it. The answer took longer than anyone wanted but building the right version of this disc was more important than rushing it into production. Throughout the development process, the Terminator evolved as feedback from our Team Discraft athletes.

The result is not simply an overstable distance driver. It is a disc designed to combine dependable stability with a forward-pushing flight that continues working down the fairway before delivering its reliable finish.

Disc Profile

One of the most important details of the Terminator is built directly into the mold. At the request of Team Discraft athletes, the Terminator was developed with a profile that creates its dome through the mold itself. Rather than leaving this characteristic entirely to the molding process, the shape was intentionally engineered into the disc.

That built-in dome helps generate additional glide while preserving the high-speed stability and torque resistance that define the Terminator’s flight. The disc can continue carrying forward without becoming overly reactive or losing the dependable finish power throwers expect from an overstable driver.

It is a small visual detail with a major effect on how the Terminator performs.

One of the Terminator's most distinct design elements is how its weight is distributed. More of the disc’s mass is packed directly into the outer nose. That nose-weighted construction helps the Terminator maintain its forward momentum instead of immediately dumping into its fade. Even as the disc begins to slow down, it continues pressing down the fairway before delivering its dependable finishing stability.

The result is a flight that feels powerful without being wasteful. The Terminator is built to carry its speed forward, resist unwanted movement and finish with authority after it has already covered ground.

Forward-Pushing Stability

The First Run Z Terminator brings pro-caliber stability to the our lineup with a flight built around confidence, control, and finishing power. Its high-speed stability keeps the disc driving forward without excessive left-to-right movement, giving power throwers a dependable option for controlled distance, windy conditions, and aggressive shots that must fight back. Instead of immediately dumping out of the air, the Terminator continues pushing down the fairway before delivering a strong and reliable finish.

For players with lower arm speed, that same stability makes the Terminator a valuable utility disc. It can be trusted for forehands, skips, sharp fades, forced flex lines, and situations where overstability is the difference between controlling the landing zone and losing the intended line.

However it finds its way into the bag, the Terminator is built to finish the job.

The First Run Z Terminator does more than introduce a new disc, it marks the first appearance of the character behind the name. The Terminator’s character represents commanding flight, relentlessness, and a commanding presence. This LE artwork on the First Run provides our community with its first glimpse into a story that will continue to grow as the of the Terminator develops.

More importantly, this character stamp belongs exclusively to the First Run! Future stock runs of the Terminator will not include the artwork from this release. That makes the First Run a permanent marker in the Terminator’s history: the original release, the introduction of the character, and the beginning of everything to come!
