Early Beginnings
For Ben, the journey was never about one moment. It was about proving himself again and again.
The United States Amateur National Championship has long been one of the defining stages for rising talent, and Ben’s win placed him in a position to take the next step. But what makes his story even more unique is what came after. Ben went on to become both the 2011 AM Nats champion and the 2015 Discraft Great Lakes Open Champion, an accomplish nobody in the sport has been able to replicate.
The Grind of Tour
The travel, the practice, the pressure, the near misses, and the constant push to stay sharp all becomes part of a disc golfer's story. Life on tour is demanding. Every player knows how hard it is to put clean rounds together, to stay locked in through changing conditions, and to turn opportunity into a win when the moment is finally there.
That is what makes winning so powerful.
For players like Ben, victories are not just trophies added to a résumé. They are the payoff for the work no one sees. They are the reward for the miles driven, the early mornings, the missed cuts, the adjustments, and the belief that the next breakthrough is always worth chasing.
