Introducing the Discraft Sled: the official disc of the 2026 PDGA Championships.

In 2026, the PDGA World Championships return to one of the sport’s most iconic stages, Kensington Metropark's Toboggan Disc Golf Course. With Worlds coming back to the area for the first time in more than two decades, we knew this moment deserved more than a commemorative stamp.

Please Note - Retailer ordering information will be sent out via email on May 8th.

Why a New Disc?

World Championships demand a different standard and that’s where the Sled comes into the picture. The goal was clear: design a putt and approach disc that could handle modern power and modern angles, while still feeling natural and comfortable in the hand for the widest range of players. This is a disc that can be trusted under pressure, repeat after repeat, when the shot has to be executed.

So instead of simply dressing up an existing mold, our team in collaboration with the 2026 WORLDS event staff built something entirely new from the ground up by creating a disc to reflect the terrain, the challenge, and the championship-level shotmaking required at Kensington’s legendary Toboggan Course.

The result is a mold that’s equal parts innovation and workhorse: a disc created to meet World-level demands, without being locked behind World-level skill.

Never Done Before

The Sled is the first Discraft mold to feature a rolled groove-top thumbtrack. This is an intentional shape inspired by Toboggan’s rolling hills.

That rolled groove-top design delivers two major advantages:

  • Enhanced grip and comfort, especially when your thumb is doing extra work to control angles and pressure.

  • A more confident forehand grip, helping the disc sit securely as you load power and commit to the line.

The Sled is a brand-new feel with a familiar kind of confidence.

With Worlds being hosted in our backyard at the Kensington Metropark Toboggan Disc Golf Course, the Sled already holds a special place in this season’s story and giving it the Tour Series treatment adds another layer of meaning to a mold that was built to represent this event. What makes this rollout especially notable is how rare this kind of release truly is. Outside of our Elite Team lineup and only a select number of Limited-Edition Tour Series releases, this marks one of the first times a stock disc has received this level of treatment.

That gives the Sled a unique place in our lineup, bridging the gap between a dependable everyday mold and a release that feels elevated, celebratory, and deeply tied to one of the biggest stages in the sport.

From the plastic blend to the overall presentation, every part of this release is meant to reflect the prestige of Worlds and the pride we have in being part of it. This is more than a special edition. It is a statement piece for a landmark year, giving players and collectors the chance to own a version of the Sled that captures both the significance of the event and the excitement surrounding one of our most meaningful releases.

If you’re looking for a brand-new putt and approach disc built with championship intent and a feel unlike anything we've produced before, the Sled is ready to earn a spot in your bag.
